  who has been out of the troof the longest?.

  i resigned in the early 70's---but dithered as a guest at meetings for a few years--to keep marital peace.

  but no field service at all--honest lol.. all connection to the cult ended in jan 1981---i had an affaire with a married sister--she got d/f--but--i'm told----it was announced=--i couldnt be d/f as i was no longer a jw---but was declared to be an apostate !!.

  Memorial 2009 was my last meeting. Relative newbie and a work in progress.

  Out mentally 100% but still a bit scared about meeting any dubs from my past and what to say.

  UK House of Commons Vote on Gay Marriage Later Today

  the vote could go either way.. only 36% of the british public oppose gay marriage so there is no real political danger to the government.

  david cameron is for it but the cabinet is split.. it will be a test for the tories.

  are they still the reactionary dinosaurs we think they are?.

  How many children of single Mums also grow up with either no male role models at all or only bad ones?

  Surely growing up in an environment where the child is loved and cared for counts for more than anything else. Whether it is one parent or two same sex parents wouldn't that be better than being raised by 2 unhappy heterosexual parents that have made the family home into war zone.

  it's only a rumor.

  but we all know that sometimes rumors become a reality.. supposedly the public watchtower and awake magazines will be combined together and the two shall become one.. i wonder if the present 16 page "rags" are becoming an embarrassment.

  they truly are rags of the lowest quality..

  If this is true I think Awake will be dropped.

  The doom and gloom front pages of Watchtower will have a more Awake look to them. The fascination with "the end of the world" is over now. IMO

  Has a wrong disfellowshipping ever been reversed?

  im not talking about simply being reinstated.

  i remember hearing a story about a brother that was disfellowshipped because of the testimony of two false witnesses.

  years passed before they admitted to lying about the brother and was reinstated.. what is policy in this sort of situation?

  so where do you start?.

  i've been reading peoples experiences for several months now trying to figure out what i want to say but how do you put your whole life into a few words?.

  i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

  NWT Matt 18:2 Child referred to as "it"

  the nwt translation renders matt 18:2 this way,.

  "so, calling a young child to him, he set it in their midst ".

  calling a child "it" made me curious.
